Community Health Education CoordinatorAssist in planning, developing, and implementing of community health education activities, such as workshops, radio and other behavioral programsParticipate in community outreach events including health fairs and other events to promote health practices and CBWCHC servicesConnect patients and community members to CBWCHC resources, services, and care as appropriateManaged appointment scheduling and patient registration for new and returning patients by answering incoming calls, booking appointments, and conducting follow-up communications while maintaining CBWCHC customer service and quality standards.Support the development and adaption of health education materials in variety of formats, such as factsheets, newspaper, social media and health blogs.Assess education needs from patients and communities, maintain accurate records of educational activities and prepare project reportsConduct translation activities like document or material translation and translation reviewSupport the Health Education and Engagement team in special events and projectsFlexibility to work in Manhattan and Queens sites requiredFlexibility to work weekends or nights as neededPerform other duties as assignedBachelor's degree in Health Education, Public Health, Behavioral Science or related fieldBilingual in English/Chinese required, English/Chinese-Mandarin is preferredExcellent communication, written and counseling skillsCustomer service experience preferredExperience working with people of various age groups (children, teens, seniors) in health care or social services1-3 years of experience working in a health-related field, preferably in the Chinese and/or Asian American communityMedical insuranceEmployer-paid dental, vision, disability and life insurance403(b) retirement savings planFlexible spending accounts for transit, parking, health and dependent carePaid time off (28 days for the first year of employment)Employee Assistant ProgramEmployee Discount ProgramsTuition reimbursement for eligible employees, andThe Health Center is qualified for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program
