Traveling Nuclear Medicine Tech

Jackson HealthPros is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team. The technologist will prepare and administer radioactive drugs, operate radiation detection and imaging equipment, and perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures to support patient care in a hospital setting in McAllen, TX.


Minimum Requirements

• An associate or bachelor's degree in nuclear medicine technology.
• Current CNMT certification.
• Texas state licensure or Texas Medical Board registration as required to practice nuclear medicine.
• BLS certification.
• Experience operating GE nuclear medicine equipment and familiarity with GE cardiac imaging systems.
• Knowledge of radiation safety and Texas radiation regulations.
• Experience working in a hospital or radiology department environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Y-90 procedures.
• Experience with lymphoscintigraphy procedures.
• Prior experience using MediTech EMR and McKesson PACS.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 09:30 to 18:00.
• Shift schedule: Days.
• On-call rotation for nights as needed.
• May be asked to assist with weekend shifts and rotating on-call coverage.
• Floating required to other imaging areas such as X-ray when needed.
