Key Responsibilities

As a Virtual Mental Health Counselor, you will perform a variety of essential job duties aimed at improving patient outcomes:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and formulate individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs and circumstances.
• Deliver high-quality counseling and therapy, utilizing evidence-based practices to support patients in reaching their therapeutic goals.
• Provide case management, including advocacy and resource linking, to ensure clients can access necessary services.
• Possess cultural sensitivity, working effectively with clients from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, sexual orientations, and ethnicities.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule providing after-hours support during weekends and holidays, collaborating with fellow team members to ensure seamless client care.
• Engage in continuous professional development opportunities through training and supervision to enhance skills and meet agency requirements.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will directly impact a varied patient population, including individuals dealing with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, and PTSD, alongside those facing intellectual disabilities and substance use disorders. You will utilize telehealth technologies to create a safe and confidential space for therapy, allowing clients to engage in sessions that fit their scheduling needs, thereby enhancing their accessibility to care.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you must meet the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
• Current and valid licensure as one of the following: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
• No history of medical malpractice claims, verified by a third party.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Experience

While the minimum qualifications establish a baseline for applicants, experience working in telehealth settings and familiarity with cultural competence in mental health practices are strongly preferred. Experience in crisis management and a holistic approach to treatment will set candidates apart.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 100,000 to 105,000 per year, depending on caseload and experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
