Job Summary:

As a member of the surgical team at Northwest Hospital, the Surgical Technologist provides technical assistance to the surgeon/physician during surgical intervention under the supervision of the RN. When not directly assisting the physician in a procedure, may participate in the rendering of patient care under the direction of the Surgical Assistant Coordinator or a Registered Nurse.

Requirements:

• Entry level knowledge; basic employment skills; High School diploma or GED equivalent;
• 1-3 years experience;
• Surgical equipment and instruments;
• Hospital computer systems;
• Accredited Surgical Technology Course Certificate; Surgical Technologist Certification preferred.
• American Heart BLS CPR
