Role Description: The Sales and Design Consultant is a full‑time, remote role based in the Boston, MA metro area, with some in‑office requirements. This role is responsible for meeting with clients in homes or our showroom to understand their custom storage needs, measure spaces, and develop custom design solutions that are both functional and visually appealing. This person creates detailed design plans and proposals using company tools and standards, presents options and pricing, and guides clients through product selections and finishes. Day‑to‑day activities include managing leads, following up with prospects, maintaining accurate project documentation, and coordinating with manufacturing and installation teams to ensure a smooth project flow. The role also involves building relationships with industry partners, participating in local marketing or showroom events, and consistently meeting sales and customer satisfaction goals. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in client‑facing sales, consultative selling, and relationship building with homeowners and industry partners. Candidates should possess skills in interior or spatial design, space planning, and an eye for aesthetics and functionality in residential environments. Candidates should possess skills in measuring, basic drafting or design software use, and interpreting floor plans or technical drawings. Candidates should possess skills in communication, active listening, and presenting design concepts and proposals clearly and confidently. Candidates should possess skills in time management, organization, and managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Experience in residential design, cabinetry, closets, or home improvement sales is highly beneficial. Comfort working in a hybrid environment, traveling locally to client sites within the Boston, MA area, and valid driver’s license are preferred. A background in interior design, sales, or related fields, and familiarity with CRM or design software (e.g., CAD‑based tools) are advantageous. What We Are Looking For 2–5 years of sales experience (home services, retail, design, or other consultative selling preferred). Strong communication, confidence, and relationship‑building skills. Ability to follow a structured sales and order process. Self‑motivated, proactive approach to generating business. Interest in home organization or interior design (experience not required). Comfort working in a 100% commission environment with unlimited earning potential. High responsiveness and exceptional customer service habits. Basic iPad/computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite, and comfort using CRM tools. Compensation This is a 100% commission outside sales role with unlimited earning potential.
