Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist in the setup of the operating room for scheduled procedures
• Verify accurate and complete preparation of supplies, instruments, equipment, and special order implants/instruments pre-operatively
• Open and dispense sterile items safely and accurately
• Assess special needs related to patient history, surgical procedure, positioning needs, and anticipated length of surgery
• Perform sponge, sharp, and instrument counts with the scrub person
• Accurately capture charges for items utilized in the operating room for patient-specific billing

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of current Operating Room experience required
• Both scrub and circulating experience required; skills checklists for OR Scrub and OR Circulate (current within 1 year) must be provided
• Orthopedic and neurosurgery experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Active New Hampshire RN License or Compact License required
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification required
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification required
• Must have personal reliable transportation — this is a rural area with no public transportation available
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of profile submission; scheduling requests will not be considered after an offer is extended
• Travelers are expected to be available to work during at least two of the following holiday blocks if scheduled: Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and weekend after; Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and weekend after; New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and weekend after

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a specialty surgical environment, particularly orthopedics or neurosurgery
• Familiarity with high-volume surgical settings serving both inpatient and outpatient populations
