Description

American Traveler is hiring an IR Technologist for a fast-paced Interventional Radiology unit requiring 2+ years of IR and scrub experience and ARRT Radiography certification.

Details

• Work in the Interventional Radiology (IR) unit of a large hospital environment
• High-volume, fast-paced setting handling 60-65 cases per day
• Unit operates 7 rooms and manages cases neck-down with some light neuro overflow such as thyroid biopsies
• Handles all lines for the entire hospital, including outpatient services
• Uses Siemens Artis icono, Artis Q, and Artis zee single-plane systems (no biplane functionality)
• Day shift schedule with 10-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday with a rotating day off
• May float to Cambridge IR
• No weekend requirements
• On-call as needed
• No holiday work required

Requirements

• Active ARRT Radiography certification required in hand
• Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license required, or Kansas license pending accepted at start
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of IR and scrub experience required
• 3+ years of IR experience, large hospital experience, and peripheral/neurovascular experience preferred

Additional Information

• Perform interventional radiology procedures in a siloed, high-volume unit
• Orientation held every Monday and Tuesday, with additional nursing orientation Wednesday-Friday on a bi-weekly basis
• Nicotine-free facility
• New graduates will not be considered for this position
• Local and travel candidates accepted at the same bill rate
