Certified Medical Assistant

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) seeks a Certified Medical Assistant for our Transplant Clinic. In this role, you will support transplant providers with patient intake, vitals, and clinical procedures while ensuring accurate EHR documentation and efficient clinic flow. Responsibilities include coordinating labs, referrals, and follow-up visits, reinforcing pre- and post-transplant education, and maintaining high standards of safety and infection control. Responsibilities Room transplant patients and obtain vitals, histories, and medication lists Assist providers with exams and minor procedures Administer injections, vaccines, and perform basic tests per protocol Prepare and maintain exam rooms, equipment, and supplies Accurately document care in the electronic health record (EHR) Coordinate referrals, lab work, and follow-up appointments Educate patients on pre- and post-transplant care instructions Maintain infection control, safety, and regulatory standards Support transplant team with scheduling and clinic flow Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and staff to improve patient experience Vital signs measurement Phlebotomy EKG administration Medication administration (non-narcotic, per protocol) Electronic health record (EHR) documentation Clinical triage and patient intake Infection control procedures Medical terminology Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Qualifications Transplant or specialty clinic experience Patient education for pre/post-procedure care Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) Active BLS certification Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program #J-18808-Ljbffr ACHE
