Manufacturing Technology Lead Lab Instructor

Job Title: Manufacturing Technology Lead Lab Instructor Work Schedule: Part Time (28 hours per week) Salary Range: $35-$50 per hour FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Summary The instructor will work with eligible students to provide instruction in non-credit manufacturing and skill development courses. The Instructor will work with the program team to ensure proper tracking of student progress, development and employment preparation. The Instructor will report to the Program Director. The class schedule is daytime Tuesday-Thursday. Essential Duties And Responsibilities Promote safety culture and safe work environment for students and others. Teaches courses in accordance with the master course outline and within the schedule of classes. Perform Student Assessments in the Lab to meet the hands-on skill development goals of the program. Recommends changes to the instructional programs and curricula as required. Keeps and submits appropriate academic records in accordance with program requirements. Maintains instructional effectiveness by ongoing self-evaluation and incorporating current developments in instructional and learning strategies. Assists the College in keeping technology, facilities, and equipment current. Plans with the assistance of the Program Director to insure availability of supplies, textbooks, and lab equipment requisite to the successful teaching of assigned classes. Assists in preparation of academic schedules, specifically the manufacturing technology offerings. Works with the Program Director and other College staff in responding to student needs. Coordinates program activities with classroom schedule and progress. Prepares the recommended schedule for all specialized courses. Serves as a liaison to LCCC Faculty ensuring basic instruction meets requirements for students to transition into advanced certificate and degree programs. Encourages and assists students in utilizing self-service features available through the online platform. Qualifications Required Education Required Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; preferably workforce education and development or similar discipline; and a degree in the mechanical or electrical engineering disciplines One or more current Master trade licenses in either the electrical or mechanical trade within the state of Pennsylvania Preferred Master’s degree from an accredited college or university Certifications Act 153 Clearances (Act 34 PA Criminal Background, Act 151 PA Child Abuse History, Act 114 FBI Clearance Fingerprinting) or ability to obtain these Current Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in vocational education Authorized OSHA trainer in both Construction and Industry Work Experience Minimum of 10 years teaching experience in a public school system or an accredited college or university Minimum of 10 years practical experience in either the mechanical or electric trades Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Desire to help others learn and perform well. High degree of patience for different learning styles and pace. Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills to effectively interact with individuals from diverse backgrounds required. Exceptional organization and planning skills required. Ability to collaborate with others required. Possess the ability to function well in an atmosphere that promotes teamwork as well as initiative and You must possess a high level of commitment to continuous professional growth in skills and knowledge. Must possess a high level of the following work skills and behaviors: teamwork/cooperation, initiative, customer service, and commitment to continuous professional growth in skills and knowledge. Preferred Ability to work Familiar with Amatrol training environment, equipment and software in a lab setting. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee may regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
