Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Physician Assistants (PAs) for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in the Aiken / North Augusta, South Carolina market.

This regional opportunity spans three nearby Emergency Departments located approximately 20–25 minutes from one another , giving experienced PAs access to recurring coverage across both hospital-based and freestanding Emergency Medicine environments.

Rather than piecing together unrelated PRN assignments, providers can build a meaningful locums schedule within one concentrated regional market while maintaining clinical variety across different ED settings.

The regional freestanding Emergency Departments offer smaller-footprint practice environments with diagnostic capabilities and established pathways for patients requiring admission or escalation of care.

• Approximately 1.3 Patients/Hour
• Adult & Pediatric Emergency Medicine

Schedule

Multiple APP shifts are available across the regional program, including:

• 8:00 AM–6:00 PM
• 10:00 AM–8:00 PM
• 10:00 AM–10:00 PM
• 12:00 PM–8:00 PM
• 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
• 2:00 PM–12:00 AM
• 6:00 PM–4:00 AM

Shift availability varies by location and coverage need.

Candidates should be willing to support all three regional locations and offer flexibility across available shift times.

Clinical Scope

Physician Assistants should be comfortable evaluating and managing a broad spectrum of Emergency Medicine presentations, including:

• Acute medical and surgical complaints
• Cardiac and respiratory presentations
• Neurologic emergencies
• Abdominal complaints
• Orthopedic injuries
• Minor trauma
• Pediatric Emergency Medicine
• Wound and laceration management
• Abscess evaluation and treatment
• Splinting and minor procedures
• Diagnostic evaluation
• Higher-acuity patient stabilization
• Disposition and transfer coordination
• Collaboration with Emergency Medicine physicians and consulting services

Who We're Seeking

This opportunity is best suited for an experienced Emergency Medicine PA comfortable transitioning between hospital-based and freestanding ED practice.

Candidates should have:

• Active, unrestricted South Carolina Physician Assistant license
• Recent Emergency Medicine experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Appropriate DEA / controlled-substance credentials as applicable
• Adult and pediatric Emergency Medicine experience
• Strong emergency assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Comfort practicing across multiple ED environments
• Flexibility across available shifts
• Ability to provide consistent monthly availability
