RN-Educator : Perioperative Services (VIR)

Job Summary RN Educator with advanced knowledge and skills in perioperative nursing, conscious sedation, PACU, and critical care. Responsible for developing and applying specialty practice standards, guiding staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and advancing quality of care. Responsibilities Demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills required for specialty nursing in perioperative, conscious sedation, PACU, and critical care. Develop and apply specialty practice standards and staff development initiatives. Create a collegial and collaborative environment among all healthcare team members. Provide leadership, teaching, research, and communication support. Coach and mentor staff. Conduct research and develop specialty specific practice standards, communicate them to other staff. Identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Improve job performance through continuing education. Qualifications Master’s degree in Nursing preferred. Current New York State Registered Nurse registration and certification, or eligibility for licensure. Demonstrated clinical competence and in‑depth knowledge in specialty area. Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Effective leadership, teaching, research, and communication skills.
