Personnel Security Specialist – Rosslyn, VA (On-site) Role Overview We are seeking a proactive Personnel Security Specialist to manage security processes within a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and documenting standard operating procedures, managing their own desk, and ensuring meticulous process execution. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to operate effectively in a structured setting. Key Responsibilities Initiate and manage access paperwork for specialized programs. Process and manage security questionnaires (PSQ). Handle the sending and receiving of visit authorization requests (VARs). Facilitate the transfer of security clearances between agencies or departments. Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all security processes. Potentially schedule polygraph examinations for personnel. Represent the organization in engagements with government partners on security matters. Participate in working groups to help shape emerging security standards. Required Qualifications Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required. Clearance: Ability to obtain/maintain DOD Top Secret/SCI Clearance. Experience: A minimum of five years of professional experience. Skills: Experience with personnel security questionnaires (PSQ). Proficiency in sending and receiving VARs and transferring clearances. Demonstrated ability to be proactive, detail-oriented, and operate with autonomy. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with specialized security programs. Familiarity with the JADE system. Compensation & Benefits The anticipated hourly range for this position is $45.00/hr-$58.00/hr. A comprehensive benefits package is available to eligible employees.
