Cloud / DevOps Engineer, Infra & IaC

Role Overview

Help strengthen the cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure-as-Code expertise used to develop advanced generative AI and large language models. You will contribute hands-on technical judgment to improve the quality of AI training and inference infrastructure data.

Key Responsibilities

• Help research and engineering teams close knowledge gaps and improve AI model performance in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes operations, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Design challenging, domain-relevant tasks and produce accurate, well-structured solutions for cluster diagnosis, AWS service integration, and infrastructure automation problems.
• Evaluate infrastructure engineering tasks and solutions, providing clear written technical feedback.
• Create guidelines and detailed evaluation rubrics for cluster failure diagnosis, IaC design quality, and CI/CD pipeline reasoning.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to maintain consistency and accuracy across training data.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of dedicated professional experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, site reliability, or platform engineering at a recognized top-tier organization.
• Hands-on production experience operating Kubernetes, including diagnosing and repairing cluster failures, beyond authoring manifests or using a managed control plane.
• Production experience with Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Direct production experience integrating AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
• Experience building and owning CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstrable career progression.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to clearly explain complex technical decisions.

Work Terms

• Remote position open to candidates located in the United States.
• Hourly W-2 employment, with placement on an extended workforce team supporting a leading AI lab.
• Full-time weekday commitment of at least 40 hours per week.

Compensation

$75 to $110 per hour.
