Sterile Processing Technician II We are looking for a Sterile Processing Technician II to join our team. Schedule: Monday – Friday Shift: Evening (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) Location: Memorial Hospital Belleville In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring surgical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and ready for patient care. This position requires a high level of accuracy, accountability, and teamwork. Role Purpose Function as a team member in the operating room to support medical and nursing staff during the pre, intra, and post-operative phase, including preparing equipment and supplies for use by the medical team, cleaning and sterilizing equipment and reusable supplies, assembling case carts/trays and performing direct patient care as needed. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED Less than 2 years of experience No supervisor experience required Cert/Lic in Area of Expertise Preferred Requirements 2-5 years of experience Qualifications Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (required) Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Responsibilities Assembles and processes instrument sets, trays, supplies and linen; prioritizes trays and tasks according to the surgery schedule. Utilizes and troubleshoots steam sterilizers. Follows proper techniques and procedures to ensure the integrity of the sterilization process. Disassembles, decontaminates, and processes instrumentation according to manufacturer and industry standards. Transports patients with any necessary materials and documents to treat or diagnose.
