Job Description

Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting early childhood and primary students in a vibrant educational environment near Hartford, WI. Step in as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist, providing crucial coverage during a maternity leave. This full-time assignment offers the satisfaction of making an immediate impact—serving students from early childhood through 3rd grade, with the majority being in EC-1st.

You’ll be immersed in a collaborative setting that embraces a 3:1 service delivery model, focusing on three weeks of direct therapy and one week dedicated to consultative services, documentation, and planning. With full-time hours (five days a week, eight hours per day), there is the possibility for a shorter schedule on Fridays, as only six students are typically seen that day. The anticipated assignment will begin near the baby’s due date of October 30 and last for approximately eight weeks.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP)
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) or Clinical Fellowship (SLP-CFY) considered
  • Previous experience in pediatrics and school-based settings preferred
  • Teletherapy or healthcare SLP experience is a plus
  • Passion for early intervention and collaborative school work
  • State licensure (as required for Wisconsin)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students from EC to 3rd grade
  • Participate in student evaluations, develop IEP goals, and maintain accurate documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Utilize the 3:1 service delivery model for direct and consult services
  • Adapt services to both in-person and potential teletherapy needs

Why You’ll Love This Opportunity

  • Engage in impactful, supportive work with young learners
  • Enjoy the flexibility of a Friday schedule with lighter caseload
  • Attractive hourly compensation ranging from $45-51 based on experience

Take this chance to make a difference in students’ lives while adding valuable experience to your career. If you’re enthusiastic about supporting children’s communication development, submit your application today!
