Registered Nurse – Neurosurgery

Schedule-D/E/N Rotating Shift Schedule - Weekends, Holidays/On-Call/Callback/Charge per Unit.

Contract Length: 13 weeks. Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week.

Requirements:

RN License (New York License ONLY)
Two (2) Years Experience
BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
Telemetry Experience Required
ACLS (Highly desired, American Heart Association ONLY)
Stepdown/PCU Experience
NIHSS Required

Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide care for patients in a high-acuity neurosurgery unit with a focus on brain tumors, spinal malformations, neuroendovascular, and epilepsy surgeries.
Monitor hemodynamic and neurological status of patients requiring complex interventions.
Conduct neuro checks and manage advanced interventions such as EVDs, lumbar drains, and arterial lines.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery processes.
