Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - Pediatrics/Adults Profession: Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Pediatrics Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 Years License: Valid State License Required Certifications: BLS, CRT (ACLS, NRP, PALS, RRT - Preferred) Must-Have: 2 Years of recent Level 3 or 4 NICU or PICU experience Description: The Respiratory Therapist will provide care for both pediatric and adult patients. This role requires experience in a Level 3 or 4 NICU or PICU. The position involves night shifts of 3x12 hours. Strong preference for candidates with experience in adult critical care, pediatric critical care, and familiarity with specific ventilators. The clinician may float within the scope of practice to meet facility needs. Weekend shifts are required. Trauma experience is necessary for this role. Candidates must have experience with all levels of NICU, PICU, and adult ICU. Experience with specific equipment, such as Draeger and Servo ventilators, is preferred. The role involves performing various respiratory therapies including NIV, high flow, and nebulizers. Candidates must be able to interpret arterial blood gases and manage tracheostomy care. Flexibility regarding time off is expected. The Respiratory Therapist will work in an acute hospital setting. The position supports a diverse patient population including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, and geriatrics.
