Middle School Resource Teacher
Job Summary:
1. Developing IEP's for Ml, MOMI, SLD, BO, and Autistic students
2. Giving direct instruction to Ml, MOMI, SLD, BO, and Autistic students
3. Do consultations with parents and professionals
4. Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or Special Services Administrator
Qualifications:
1. A valid West Virginia Teaching Certificate, Licensure, and/or both in Mental
Retardation or Mental Impairment, Specific Learning Disabilities, and Behavioral
Disorders Including Autism OR Multi-Categorical and BO Including Autism or eligible for a permit with listed endorsements through the WVDE to teach Resource
2. Demonstrates qualifications further detailed in job description
Physical Requirements:
1. Be able to impart information and orally communicate with students, families and
others.
2. Be able to understand and respond to oral communications and directions.
3. Be able to read, write, understand and respond to written instructions,
communications and materials.
4. When supervising a group of students, have the capacity to ensure the safety of,
observe, supervise and assess all situations involving a student, a group of students and co-workers.
