Division Within the Psychology Department at ELMHS, Located in Jackson, LA The Mission of ELMHS is to provide mental health evaluation, treatment, habilitation, and consultation for adults. Programs include inpatient interventions, jail-based evaluations, supervised group home and residential programs, forensic evaluation, care, custody, and aftercare; intermediate and long-term psychiatric care are coordinated with the total system of care in Louisiana. ELMHS is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join the Psychology Department as a Psychologist 2! Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice psychology. Official job specifications are available for review. Job Duties Provide resources and support needed to ensure uninterrupted and appropriate patient care. Provide documentation to the court and court testimony as needed to determine a person’s competence to stand trial and other psychological issues. Contribute to and assist in specialized training programs for the development of the internship program and the Tulane Postdoctoral Fellowship at ELMHS. Interact with professional peers and other staff cooperatively. Participate in educational trainings and competency requirements mandated for accreditation and licensure of the facility, as well as the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of LDH, OBH, ELMHS, and Civil Service.
