Location: Austin, Texas
Compensation: $75,000 base, $150,000 on-target earnings

Help Turn a Homeowner's Vision Into Something Real

Koncept Garage creates premium garages and home gyms for busy Austin homeowners who want the entire transformation handled thoughtfully, beautifully and completely.

The company has grown primarily through referrals and inbound demand. That growth has created the next challenge: founder Jeff Julia still owns most of the sales process.

We are hiring a Design-Build Sales Consultant who can sit with a homeowner, understand what they envision for their space, and turn that vision into a thoughtful design, a buildable plan, and a project they are excited to bring to life.

This is not a traditional sales job. You will listen closely to how homeowners want to use their space and how they want it to feel, then guide them from that first idea through design, planning, and a proposal they are genuinely excited to say yes to. Along the way, you will make sure what Koncept promises can be built beautifully, profitably, and without surprises.

What You'll Own

From the first alignment call through the signed proposal, you will own both the homeowner's experience and the details required to bring their vision to life.

• Listen to what brought each homeowner to Koncept, qualify whether the project is a strong fit, and establish trust from the first conversation.

• Lead onsite consultations that uncover how the homeowner wants to use the space, what is not working today, and what matters most, while capturing the measurements and existing conditions needed to create a buildable project.

• Partner with the interior designer to create space plans and 3D renderings that help homeowners see what is possible.

• Bring together the right combination of cabinets, flooring, garage doors, storage, lighting, gym equipment, and other project elements, coordinating vendor and subcontractor pricing along the way.

• Build accurate, profitable proposals in JobTread that reflect both the homeowner's priorities and Koncept's standards.

• Walk clients through their design and proposal in conversation and through personalized video presentations, navigate revisions and tradeoffs thoughtfully, and ask for the business.

• Give project management and operations a clear, complete handoff so the finished space lives up to what was promised.

• Maintain consistent pipeline management and follow-up so homeowners always know what comes next.

Who You Are

You are a customer-centered, consultative salesperson who listens before recommending and has the construction fluency to turn a homeowner's idea into a buildable proposal.

You may come from residential remodeling, custom closets, garage systems, kitchens and baths, outdoor living, pools, home automation, fitness design, or another premium design-build environment.

You bring:

• Experience selling customized residential projects.

• The ability to build trust quickly, ask thoughtful questions, and make the buying experience feel like a design consultation, not a sales pitch.

• Field measurement, scoping, or estimating experience.

• Strong spatial and technical judgment, with the ability to help homeowners navigate design, budget, and technical tradeoffs without overwhelming them.

• Commercial discipline around pricing, margin, and scope.

• The ownership to solve problems without blaming leads, clients, or teammates.

• Experience mentoring salespeople, improving sales processes, or helping build a team, with the desire to take on formal leadership responsibility.

Koncept can teach you its products, vendor tools, JobTread workflow, and pricing model. You need to bring the ability to understand a homeowner, evaluate their space, develop a reliable scope, and make promises the team can keep.

Where This Can Go

First, you will learn how Koncept listens to homeowners, designs remarkable spaces, and turns those ideas into successful projects. You will work alongside Jeff, take ownership of client relationships, and become one of the company's strongest salespeople.

From there, the expectation is that you will help make the process repeatable. Within the first 12 months, you will begin shaping the playbook, improving the systems, and helping hire and develop the salespeople who will join the team underneath you.

This role is designed to grow from personally selling Koncept's work into leading the sales organization behind its next stage of growth.
