Organizationally ITW GSE is part of the Specialty Products Segment of Illinois Tool Works (ITW)./ppPosition Summary/ppThe Accessories Shipping Lead Coordinator is a leadership role responsible for overseeing day-to-day shipping operations and leading a team of shipping specialists to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient order fulfillment. This position serves as the operational link between the shipping department, Sales, and other internal teams to coordinate shipments, prioritize orders, and resolve logistics challenges./ppThe ideal candidate brings strong people-leadership experience, deep knowledge of shipping and receiving operations, and a hands-on approach to logistics leadership. This role requires frequent forklift operation, internal and external computer systems usage, and active floor presence./ppKey Responsibilities/pulliLead, coach, and support the daily activities of the shipping team, including work assignments, prioritization, and workflow coordination/liliServe as the primary point of contact for shipping employees during the shift/liliTrain new team members on shipping procedures, safety standards, and system usage/liliPromote a culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement/li/ululliPlan and coordinate daily shipments of cables, hoses, and accessories to meet customer delivery requirements/liliPartner closely with Sales, Operations, Procurement and Accounting to align shipment timing and priorities/liliEnsure all outbound shipments are prepared accurately, including documentation, labeling, packaging, and carrier requirements/liliMonitor shipping schedules and proactively address delays, shortages, or capacity issues/li/ululliPerform hands-on shipping and receiving tasks as needed, including picking, staging, loading, and unloading/liliOperate forklifts and material-handling equipment safely and efficiently/liliVerify inventory accuracy and report discrepancies or damages/liliSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to shipping efficiency, space utilization, and material flow/li/ululliUtilize computer systems and programs such as Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office to communicate, track shipments, and maintain records/liliEnsure shipping paperwork, bills of lading, and internal documentation are complete and accurate/liliCommunicate effectively across shifts and departments to ensure seamless operations/li/ulpRequired Qualifications/pulliMinimum 5 7 years logistics leadership experience/liliExtensive experience in shipping, receiving, and logistics operations/liliForklift Certification/liliProficiency using computers, including Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office/liliProven ability to coordinate with multiple internal teams to meet customer and business requirements/liliStrong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills/liliAbility to lead by example and work hands-on in a fast-paced environment/li/ulpPreferred Qualifications/pulliExperience shipping industrial products such as cables, hoses, or accessories/liliExperience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment/liliFamiliarity with ERP, WMS, or shipping software systems/li/ulpPhysical Work Requirements/pulliAbility to stand, walk, bend, and lift on a regular basis/liliAbility to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation/liliRegular forklift operation and warehouse floor activity/liliHourly position; schedule may include overtime based on operational needs/li/ulpITW is an equal opportunity employer.
