Job Opportunity: PM&R Physician

Our organization is seeking a dedicated PM&R physician for a hybrid role that encompasses both inpatient and outpatient care, with a primary focus on neurological rehabilitation. There is also the possibility to engage in musculoskeletal care within the outpatient setting.

We operate as part of a comprehensive multispecialty clinic located within the Neuroscience Center, collaborating closely with departments such as Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Pain Medicine. The PM&R Department consists of:

• 4 Musculoskeletal PM&R Physicians
• 3 Neurorehabilitation PM&R Physicians (with plans to add a 4th)
• 1 Pediatric PM&R Physician
• 4 Inpatient PM&R Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs)
• 3 Outpatient/MSK PM&R APCs
• 5 Neuropsychologists
• 3 Chiropractors

The inpatient unit has recently undergone renovations and features a 20-bed capacity, managed by our team of Neurorehabilitation physicians and APCs. Call responsibilities are handled by APCs, ensuring coverage during nights, weekends, and holidays is shared among providers. Our hospitalist team provides exceptional support for patients with complex medical needs.

The outpatient focus is primarily on neurological rehabilitation, addressing conditions such as:

• Stroke (CVA)
• Spinal Cord Injury (SCI)
• Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
• Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
• Concussions
• Spasticity management, including Botox and intrathecal baclofen pump management

While musculoskeletal care is a secondary focus, it is available, and there is potential for EMG procedures.

• EMG
• Botox injections
• Trigger Point Injections and nerve blocks

We are a 325-bed Level II Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center, equipped with two medical transport helicopters and a ground ambulance service that extends care to 22 counties across the tri-state area. Our network includes six critical access hospitals and over 65 regional clinics.
