Role and Team

• Reporting to the Lead Lot Operations or other designated manager, you will load, drive, and offload operational and non-operational vehicles using the lot Wrecker Rollback truck (non-DOT) to support lot movements and general operations before, during, and after sale day to ultimately maintain accurate inventory flow. 

Responsibilities

• Lot Operations Support: Support lot operations by locating, loading or hooking up tow-vehicles, driving, offloading, and staging vehicles using the Wrecker Rollback truck.  Ensure operational and non-op units are stored in a safe, effective and efficient manner according to the lot set up and leader direction.
• Inventory Accuracy: Scan the lot and use electronic devices to record the movement of vehicles on the property.
• Vehicle Readiness: Assist with vehicle readiness tasks such as jumping vehicles and adding fluids (gas, water, etc), adding air to tires, and verifying vehicle status while maintaining accurate lot organization.
• Operational Flow & Support: Communicate with shop and operations teams to ensure an efficient flow of inventory from vehicle check-in to the auction sale line for all vehicles needing to be towed.  Provide customer service support and coordinate with administrative teams to ensure efficient execution of sale day activities.
• Vehicle Identification: Confirm vehicle mileage, make year, and VIN to ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Safety & Maintenance: Maintain work areas, Wrecker Rollback truck and tools/devices to ensure a safe environment; report any incidents or hazards to the designated manager.
• General Duties: Perform any other duties assigned by the designated manager.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Able to safely drive a variety of vehicle makes, models, and sizes, including tow trucks, forklifts, and the service truck
• Automotive or auction experience preferred, especially with service trucks or tow trucks
• Proficiency with computer systems and applications
• Obtain and maintain forklift certification preferred
• Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license that meets the requirements
• Able to safely drive a variety of make/model/sizes of vehicles

The physical activity requirements of the position are from Medium to Heavy Physical Work.

• Ability to walk/stand and sustain physical activity for extended periods of time (8+ hours)

• Occasional – climbing, balancing, crawling, kneeling, stooping, crouching, lifting
• Potential – running, jumping, yelling, or other rapid or forceful movement in emergency situations

• Visual acuity requirements include color, depth perception and field of vision comparable to definitions for Clerical, Administrative, Machine Operators (including inspection) positions . 

Physical Working Conditions

This position is subject to both inside and outside environmental working conditions, including temperature changes, outside weather conditions, slightly elevated ambient noise levels, and minor atmospheric conditions affecting skin or respiratory systems, such as fumes, odors and dusts associated with internal and external service station/convenience food and petroleum dispensing operations.
