Job Description

Active Registered Respiratory Tech (RRT) license and 2+ years of in-patient hospital Respiratory Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Desired Qualifications:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certification
• Current and valid state license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (preferred or as required)
• Strong clinical assessment and judgement skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and team dynamics

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain a professional image and deliver exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff
• Administer direct patient care and execute respiratory care and hyperbaric procedures (if specially trained) in all facility areas
• Organize and prioritize workload to ensure timely completion of therapies
• Participate in educational activities and departmental meetings
• Document and maintain accurate records, charts, and reports
• Rapid and precise response to Code Blue and Rapid Response alerts
• Evaluate patient care and make recommendations as needed
• Perform specialized procedures, including pulmonary functions, methacholine challenges, NICU/PICU care, and asthma education (for those trained)
• Take on other assigned duties as required
