Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading all types of production equipment, which includes motors, drives, cranes, controls and instruments, working on process improvement projects, and providing electrical support to operations. The qualified candidate must be willing and able to work rotating shifts, holidays, and weekends as required. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Minimum Qualifications:Fundamental understanding of electrical theoryExperience troubleshooting low voltage motors and controllers.Experience troubleshooting PLCs, instrumentation, process control devices, and VFDs.3+ years' experience in industrial or military electrical maintenance.Preferred Qualifications:2-year or 4-year degree in electrical or related field.Experience maintaining overhead cranes.Exposure to electrical substation equipment and maintenance practices.Prior Steel industry experience in electrical maintenance.Good mechanical knowledgeCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Nucor Marion will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future.
