Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized neonatal care to critically ill infants in a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Ensure the safety and well-being of neonatal patients through clinical expertise and compassionate bedside care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced nursing care to neonates, including monitoring vital signs and providing respiratory support.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Perform neonatal procedures such as IV insertions, intubations, and administering medications.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient conditions, treatments, and progress in electronic health records.
• Educate and support families of neonatal patients, addressing concerns and providing guidance.
• Adhere to unit policies, safety protocols, and state regulations to ensure optimal care delivery.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in North Carolina or ability to obtain licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years of NICU experience at Level III or higher.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
• Strong clinical skills in neonatal care and procedures.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work efficiently under pressure.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a fast-paced environment.
