The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership across software and infrastructure teams and work onsite at Patrick Space Force Base.\n\nEssential Functions:\n\n Develop secure and scalable back-end services and application logic to support mission applications and workflows.\n Apply software engineering best practices across the full development lifecycle, including code reviews, automated testing, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.\n Deploy and maintain applications in AWS, ensuring scalability, security, resilience, and cost-effectiveness.\n Engage with customers daily to refine requirements and improve application functionality.\n Prepare and brief technical designs, implementation plans, roadmaps, and documentation.\n Produce and maintain technical documentation for system design, application architecture, deployment procedures, and sustainment activities.\n Supporting Agile software development teams and participating in Scrum ceremonies.\n Building and deploying mission applications in classified or high-security environments.\n Security+ Certification or any DoD IAT Level II Certification, or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of accepting position.\n\n\nQualifications:\n\n Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience\n Active TS clearance with the ability to obtain SCI\n\n\nPreferred Additional Skills:\n\n Proficiency with Java language\n Experience developing AI/ML-enabled mission applications, analytical tools, or decision-support capabilities involving advanced data processing, automation, visualization, and user interaction.\n Experience developing and deploying containerized applications using Kubernetes K-8.\n Experience developing and deploying applications in Amazon Web Services (AWS).\n Experience with Docker, CI/CD, Git, REST APIs, microservices, and secure software development.\n Experience with scientific, sensor-derived, geophysical, acoustic, seismic, infrasonic, or other mission-relevant technical data is highly desired.\n Experience building back-end services and APIs using Python, Java, Node.js, .NET, or similar.\n Familiarity with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, DynamoDB, or other relational/non-relational data stores.\n Prior field assignment experience\n Experience with AI-assisted development tools\n Experience transitioning research or prototype capabilities into operational software tools, supporting classified DoD mission environments strongly preferred.\n Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.\n Familiarity with the C2S Access Portal (CAP) and high-side AWS environments is highly desired.\n Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.\n\n\n\n#LI-KT1\nL3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
