Logistics Specialist

TEKsystems is seeking a logistics specialist to join our clients team ONSITE in the Des Moines area.
Daily Duties:

* Making outbound calls, tracking and tracing loads, calling receiving locations to confirm the hours of operation, and setting appointments
* Must be open to picking up the phone
* Will assist with data entry, emailing, and will working closely with team members on the Operations side.
* Assist with processing and building out loads in the system
* Calling shippers and (primarily) receivers to confirm hours of operations and set appointments when required (noting load with specifics)
* Inputting pertinent notes into loads that will be visible on carriers' load confirmations.
* Tracking and tracing loads
* Scheduling appts in our TMS dock scheduling tool
*Skills & Qualifications*
Customer service experience - 1+ years
- experience making outbound/taking inbound calls
Detail oriented
Organized
Basic computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, teams
Strong communication skills over the phone and through email
*Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Urbandale, IA.
*Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
