• Days 7 am - 3 pm & swings 3 pm - 11 pm -- coverage needed daily
• Option to cover combined shift -- 7 am - 11 pm
• Nights 11 pm - 7 am -- remote call only, rarely called in
• 10 - 15 patients per 8-hour shift on days and swings
• 1 - 2 admits per night on average -- often 0
• Inpatient hospital setting
• No procedures -- hospitalists help run codes until EMS arrives
• We negotiate better pay and deposit it weekly
