Salary Range: $46,000 - $69,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify conformance to specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of inspected items.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating appropriate corrective actions.
• Conduct first-article inspections and in-process checks to ensure adherence to quality standards throughout production.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and quality control plans to determine inspection criteria.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing processes.

Recommended Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 2+ years experience in manufacturing or quality control
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents (blueprints, schematics)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects
• Proficiency with measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
• Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with various measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM).
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Certification in NDT methods (e.g., VT, PT, MT).
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) software.
