Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center, located in beautiful Northeast Florida, is actively seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for the Surgical Oncology team to join our dynamic within the Division of Surgery. Position Overview: We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for the Section of Surgical Oncology to support the surgical oncology team. The ideal candidate will have experience or a strong interest in oncology and surgical specialties.

Responsibilities Include:

• Providing care for patients with malignant and complex conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, skin, and soft tissues (including liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and stomach), and melanoma and sarcoma.
• Inpatient care: First-assistant in the OR (robot, laparoscopic, open cases). Rounding on patients in the acute post-operative phase who are admitted to the hospital for surgical oncology and colorectal surgery. Post-operative wound care and pain management. Timely collaboration with consulting physicians. Coordinating discharges from the hospital. Evaluation of new consults.
• Outpatient Care: Evaluates new and existing patients in collaboration with staff physicians, as well as a multidisciplinary team, completes outpatient documentation in a timely fashion, and performs clinic procedures as applicable.

Hours: Monday – Friday. Shared night and weekend call: home call for service during the week, and weekend call with inpatient rounding and OR coverage for emergency cases.

Education Required: Master's Degree. Education Preferred: Master's Degree. Experience: 1-2 years of experience as a first assist or RNFA preferred. License and Certification: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current Florida licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA). National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
