Location: Geneva, IL 60134

Pay Rate: $17.50/hr

Shift: Second Shift

Description: Injection Mold Operator
SCOPE / SUMMARY STATEMENT: Responsible for contributing to the achievement of the shift goals through follow through on the following job functions.

JOB FUNCTION STATEMENTS:

Essential
1. Operation of manual, semi-automatic and automatic injection molding jobs as well as other production equipment including automatic cells, presses, drills, lathes, pad printer etc.
2. Read and understand job packet information and instructions.
3. Inspection of parts to be sure they meet posted quality standards.
4. Alert Technician, Quality Inspector or other supervision when a questionable condition exists such as part quality or machine operation.
5. Weigh, count and label all boxes.
6. Report run time, labor hours, job number and operation, scrap and rejects as required.
7. Grind runners and rejects as instructed.
8. Notify Technician or other supervision when job is about to end.
9. Monitor the supply of material - both plastic and other such as boxes. Notify material handler, technician or other supervision when low.
10. Follow all safety rules and procedures. Notify Lead or supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
11. Keep work area clean and organized.
12. There will be two hours training prior to shift start.
13. While daily work assignments can very, the range of time performing specific motions during a typical 8 hour shift is:
Standing (3-90%)
Push/pull (3-50%)
Sitting (10-98%)
Bend/stoop (3-50%)
Walking (3-50%)
Crouch/kneel (0-50%)
Lifting (4-50%) (Boxes, tooling, etc.)
Other (%)
Non-Essential
1. Fill in for others when needed.
2. Help keep shop clean.
3. Work as a team member.
TOOLS, EQUIPMENT & MEASURING INSTRUMENTS USED:
The Injection Mold Operator must be able to use the basic packaging tools and measuring tools for checking part dimensions and quality.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and training in the use of the current ERP system. Must have the communication skills to report production and understand directions.
There will be 2 hours of training prior to shift start
