Embedded Software Intern

Become familiar with the USB protocol stack and implementation Help develop new embedded audio platform functionality Help diagnose and root cause field issues and bugs Develop new features and update code in C/C++ Develop scripts, testing frameworks, and utility code in C/Python Participate in code and requirements reviews Work with DSP, systems engineering, and hardware engineering teams to facilitate development and understanding Assist with maintaining and developing embedded audio platform firmware and USB-based microphone and conferencing ecosystem Analyze field issues and collaborate across divisions to develop new features and designs Requirements Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field Must have experience programming in C/C++ Experience with Python and ARM assembly language a plus Experience with communication protocols including USB, I2S, I2C, UART a plus Experience with real-time operating systems and embedded hardware/microcontrollers a plus Experience reading hardware schematics and product datasheets a plus Recommended to have taken a lab based embedded design/robotics/programming course Familiarity with programming and debugging microcontrollers Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis Shure will not sponsor applicants for this position for work visas Core Competencies Proficient in C/C++ programming and familiar with the USB protocol stack, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain embedded audio platform firmware while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
