Earn Commission.Are you a natural relationship builder with a strong network in the College Station/Bryan or Houston market?The Hilton Hotel and Conference Center at College Station is looking for an Independent Contractor Sales Representative to help us bring new group, event, and meeting business to our full-service hotel and conference center.This is an opportunity for a motivated, well-connected sales professional to leverage their existing relationships and network while representing a well-established hospitality brand.About UsThe Hilton Hotel and Conference Center at College Station is a full-service hotel and meeting venue serving Texas A&M University and the Bryan–College Station community.We host:Texas A&M events and organizationsCorporate and government groupsConferences and meetingsAthletic events and teamsWeddings and social eventsReunions and alumni gatheringsLonestar Peak Performance - Inspirational Team Building are expanding our reach in the College Station/Bryan and Greater Houston markets and are looking for independent sales professionals who can help us connect with new group business.About the OpportunityAs an Independent Contractor Sales Representative, you will use your existing relationships, professional network, and knowledge of your market to identify and generate qualified group business opportunities.You will represent the hotel to prospective clients, introduce our accommodations, meeting space, and catering services, and connect qualified opportunities with our hotel sales team.Our internal Sales and Conference Services teams will support the process once a qualified opportunity is identified.What You'll DoIdentify and develop new group and event business opportunitiesProspect organizations, companies, teams, associations, alumni groups, and social groupsBuild relationships with decision-makers and event plannersIntroduce the hotel's guest rooms, meeting spaces, and catering servicesGenerate qualified leads for room blocks, meetings, and eventsMaintain regular communication with prospects and the hotel's Sales teamProvide leads and proposals to the hotel sales team for contracting and approvalDevelop business opportunities within the College Station/Bryan and Houston marketsMarkets & OpportunitiesCollege Station/BryanPotential business opportunities include:Texas A&M organizationsAthletic and academic eventsCorporate and government groupsConferences and meetingsWeddings and social eventsReunions and other group eventsGreater HoustonPotential business opportunities include:Texas A&M alumni and Former Student groupsReunionsWeddings and social eventsSports teams and tournamentsCorporate meetings and eventsGroup travelCommission StructureThis is a commission-only independent contractor opportunity.7% of qualifying room revenue from group room blocks3% of qualifying food & beverage revenue from eventsCommissions are calculated on qualifying net revenue, excluding taxes, fees, and service chargesCommissions do not apply to house accounts or existing clientsThere is no base salary, draw, or guaranteed compensationEarnings are based entirely on qualifying business generated and fulfilledCommission payment timing and qualifying revenue will be outlined in the independent contractor agreement.What We ProvideYou bring the relationships. We provide the hotel resources and support.Approved hotel rates and sales collateralHilton hotel and conference center brand supportSales team support with proposals and site visitsAssistance throughout the contracting processConference Services support after a booking is confirmedA professional hospitality environment and established hotel brandWho We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate is:Based in the Brazos Valley or Greater Houston areaWell-connected within one or more relevant business or social marketsExperienced in hospitality, event, travel, group, or B2B sales — or has a strong established networkSelf-motivated and comfortable working independentlyA strong relationship builder and professional communicatorComfortable working on a commission-only basisAble to travel within the assigned market as neededExperienced with groups, alumni organizations, weddings, sports, corporate travel, or events is a plusA Texas A&M connection is a plus, but not requiredImportant InformationThis is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity and is not a hotel employee position.The Independent Contractor Sales Representative will not have authority to independently establish rates outside approved ranges or execute contracts on behalf of the hotel. All contracts are subject to hotel approval.No base salary, draw, or guaranteed earnings are provided.The hotel is an equal opportunity employer.
