Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred, 3 years recommended License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: C-EFM, BLS, NRP, STABLE preferred, ACLS preferred Must-Have: - Charge experience - Cerner experience - Completed at least 1 travel assignment - Scrub experience - Float required to mother/baby unit Description: Looking for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse. The nurse will provide care to patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum. The role requires the nurse to assist with high-risk deliveries and provide support during childbirth. Candidates should be skilled in administering medications, monitoring fetal heart rates, and performing vaginal exams. Experience with cesarean sections and epidural anesthesia is preferred. Ability to provide lactation support and newborn assessments is required. Nurses will be responsible for patient education and care during labor and delivery. Floater responsibilities include care for mother/baby unit when needed. Must be able to work every other weekend. Call shifts required. Nurses will work in an environment with an average of 300 births per month. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care. Candidates should be prepared to handle various obstetrical emergencies as they arise.
