SENIOR MAINTENANCE AIDE (SEASONAL) – CENTRAL VALLEY DISTRICT / CALAVERAS SECTOR / COLUMBIA STATE HISTORIC PARK

“Priority consideration will be given to any person receiving State public assistance under the CalWORKs program. The reporting location for this position is the Columbia Maintenance Yard at Columbia State Historic Park in Columbia, CA .  This position will work under the supervision of the Park Maintenance Supervisor.

T he Senior Maintenance Aide performs maintenance service functions at Columbia State Historic Park as assigned. Primary duties include housekeeping, garbage collection, litter pick up, groundskeeping, light forestry work, equipment maintenance, unskilled labor and assisting permanent staff with skilled and unskilled maintenance of facilities, roads and grounds.

This position works 7:00am-3:30pm, Wednesday through Sunday.  This position may work up to 1500 hours within 12 consecutive months. This position is designated as not telework eligible.

The selected candidate is required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan fingerprinting prior to appointment.

Possession of a valid driver’s license of the appropriate class and a safe driving record as documented by the Department of Motor Vehicles within 60 days prior to appointment. (A safe driving record is one free from convictions in the past two years for repeated moving violations or a single serious violation, such as drunk driving or reckless driving.)
