Meet The Team The Equipment Technician team supports both Manufacturing and R&D operations by ensuring equipment reliability, performance, and compliance. Technicians work collaboratively with engineers, production teams, and management to maintain high-quality standards, drive continuous improvement, and support delivery of life-changing products. Where You Come In Conduct preventive and reparative maintenance on Production, Manufacturing, and R&D equipment and fixtures. Diagnose and maintain automated production/process equipment, including PLCs, robotics, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, electro‑mechanical systems, packaging equipment, welders, and heat stakers; perform equipment moves and setups. Maintain equipment binders and perform documentation tasks (PM/CM, pass‑downs, Track‑IT work orders, IQ/OQ validations). Help maintain spare part inventories. Use hand and power tools, multimeters, ammeters, calibration equipment, and calipers. Participate in equipment development under supervision of the project engineer, including assembly, testing, electronics, and validation studies. Follow Dexcom’s safety and lock‑out/tag‑out (LOTO) program. Work any shift, including weekends. Perform all assigned tasks with appropriate safety requirements. What Makes You Successful Familiar with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong general computer skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical equipment specifications. Ability to write routine reports, pass‑downs, and correspondence. Effective communication skills to present information and respond to questions from supervisors, engineers, and managers. Travel Required 0–5% Experience And Education Typically requires 4–6 years of related experience and a high school diploma, certificate, or equivalent. Language Skills Must be able to communicate effectively in English, including reading, writing, and verbal communication for safety rules, operating instructions, and audits. Physical Demands Standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods; frequent use of hands, fingers, wrists, and arms; lifting up to 50 lbs; occasional overhead reach, kneeling, and moderate force movements. Work Environment Exposure to moving parts, chemicals, outdoor conditions, intense or intermittent light, fast-paced operations, and elevated noise.
