Registered Nurse, Ortho Trauma Specialty Medsurge

ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Ortho Trauma Specialty Medsurge (Night Shift) in Plano, Texas.

Plano, TX

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 7P-7A, with a weekend commitment of 4 weekends.

The Ortho Trauma Specialty Medsurge unit at Medical City Plano is a 36-bed unit that caters to patients with complex orthopedic and trauma-related conditions. This role involves caring for polytrauma patients, non-surgical cervical fractures cleared by spine, and those with downgraded traumatic brain injuries. You will also manage patients with heparin and protonix drips and a maximum of three drains. Utilizing Meditech as the electronic medical record (EMR) system, you will be part of a dedicated team that values collaboration and teamwork.

Provide comprehensive nursing care to orthopedic and trauma patients.

Administer medications and manage intravenous therapy including heparin and protonix drips.

Monitor patient conditions and report significant changes to the charge nurse.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.

1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

No additional certifications are required at this time.
