In addition to software development you will also be expected to support reviews of requirements and test cases that are developed for the software capability.\n\nEssential Functions:\n\n * Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.\n * Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design and development of product software.\n * Ensure software standards are met.\n\n\n\nSeeking candidates who find satisfaction in working on challenging and diverse assignments in collaborative settings across all levels.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master\u2019s degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related experience, or a PhD and 1 year of related work experience.\n * Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start\n * Recent and extensive Experience Developing Software in C++ or Java\n * Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business needs\n * Applicants must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment \n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\n * Process Improvement \u0026 Analysis:\n * Kaizen facilitation, root cause analysis, SIPOC, and value stream mapping\n * Process risk identification and waste elimination\n * Lean-Agile Principles:\n * Training and implementation of Lean-Agile principles (Modules 1-5)\n * Development of RACI (Roles \u0026 Responsibilities) matrices\n * Software Automation \u0026 Tools:\n * Jira/Confluence administration, automation, and CI/CD pipeline setup (e.g., Jenkins)\n * Programming expertise in Python, Java, and C++\n * Version control strategy expertise (Git, branching strategies) and Gradle plugin development\n * Collaboration \u0026 Communication:\n * Team onboarding support, documentation, presentation proofreading, and dry-run reviews\n * Teams channel management and standardization efforts\n * Additional Technical Skills:\n * Experience with Linux and Windows environments\n * Development of unit integration, end-to-end, and behavior-driven tests.\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
