Revenue Accountant

Job Summary:

Sabine is looking for a Revenue Accountant to join our fast-paced accounting team. Position responsibilities include processing oil and gas revenues for operated and non-operated properties, processing prior period adjustments (PPAs), preparing account reconciliations and analysis and supporting various team projects.

Responsibilities:

• Process oil and gas revenues and related deducts/taxes for operated properties timely and accurately
• Process prior period adjustments (PPAs) for operated properties
• Process and review oil and gas accruals for operated and non-operated properties
• Prepare and analyze monthly account reconciliations
• Allocate cash
• Lead monthly revenue check-write process including netted checks
• Answer royalty owner questions
• Assist with special projects
• Support audits and similar inquiries
• Analysis of monthly/quarterly/yearly revenue results
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Preferred candidates have 4+ years of experience
• Oil and Gas Industry experience preferred
• Ability to commute to office in Houston, TX 77002

Skills:

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects/priorities
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Critical thinker with the ability to recognize problems and find solutions
• Bolo experience preferred
• EMK3 experience preferred

Education or Formal Training:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Business (Required)
