SENIOR RESPIRATORY THERAPIST (RRT)

This opportunity is full-time (36 hours per week), offers full-time benefits, and a convenient night shift schedule. NICU experience is required. Responsibilities Delivers all aspects of Respiratory Care to all age groups. Assists in the orientation and training of new staff members and acts as a resource person. Is able to cross‑train in other areas and is willing to float to fulfill hospital needs. Participates in department QI studies, in‑services, and meetings. Recognizes the signs and symptoms of stroke, calls a stroke alert, and verifies the stroke alert process. Assesses and maintains airway, assists with intubation, and transports the intubated stroke patient. Maintains currency in stroke knowledge by completing the annual 1‑hour online training. Current registered respiratory therapist license in the State of Florida. Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required. Minimum one (1) year experience in neonatal intensive care services and/or completion of the department’s NICU orientation. Minimum one (1) year experience in an acute critical care setting.
