Phlebotomist Floater - 1st Shift

Position: Phlebotomist Floater - 1st Shift :
Location: Arlington VA 22203
Shift: Monday-Friday 8-4:30pm with rotating weekends
State of Credentials/Licenses Required : Virginia

Job Details:
Phlebotomist III - Float

Collect high-quality blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary techniques (pediatric, geriatric, adult)
Prepare, label, and process specimens accurately for laboratory testing
Ensure patient safety, comfort, and clear communication during procedures
Verify patient identity and maintain strict confidentiality and data accuracy
Float across multiple locations (PSC, clinics, mobile, long-term care, in-office) as needed
Ensure timely completion of daily phlebotomy and patient service operations
Act as lead support when required; mentor, train, and onboard new staff
Serve as point of contact for onsite staff and escalate issues to supervisors
Coordinate with internal teams (lab, billing, logistics, IT, sales) for complex test requirements
Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and quality processes
Handle high-volume workload with strong multitasking and problem-solving skills
Deliver excellent patient-facing customer service in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
5+ years phlebotomy experience (including pediatric & geriatric collections)
Experience in PSC/IOP environment preferred
Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in some states)
Strong data entry and communication skills
