Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, safety-conscious, and experienced OTR CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently over long distances while maintaining compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
This position requires a professional driver who is comfortable with extended time on the road, can manage delivery schedules, and is committed to providing excellent service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Operate company trucks equipped with automatic transmissions to transport freight over long distances.
- Perform drop-and-hook, live-load, and live-unload operations as assigned.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, post-trip, and en-route vehicle inspections.
- Safely secure, transport, and deliver freight according to scheduled appointments.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs, mileage records, fuel reports, and delivery documentation.
- Comply with all applicable DOT regulations, Hours-of-Service requirements, and company safety policies.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and other team members regarding delivery schedules, delays, and road conditions.
- Monitor vehicle condition and promptly report mechanical issues, maintenance needs, or safety concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
- Be flexible with routes, schedules, and extended periods away from home as required for OTR operations.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license .
- Minimum of 2 years of CDL Class A commercial driving experience .
- Clean and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass required DOT physical, drug screening, and applicable background checks.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
- Ability to operate automatic-transmission commercial trucks.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel over the road and spend extended periods away from home.
Compensation and Employment
- Annual Pay: $95,000.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Driving Type: Over-the-road (OTR).
- Freight Operations: Drop-and-hook, live load, and live unload.
