Registered Nurse (RN) - Trauma Telemetry

Location: Asheville, NC

The Trauma Telemetry unit features a dynamic and supportive team environment.

Number of Beds: 36

Number of Staff: 50+

Staffing Structure:

Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 8 RNs, 3 CNAs, 1 HUC, and 1-2 Sitters

Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 7 RNs, 3 CNAs, 0.5 HUC, and 1-2 Sitters

Current Ratios:

Day Shift RN: 1:5/6

Night Shift RN: 1:6/7

Equipment: Medical remote telemetry monitoring, Cerner Patient Observation (CPO), VC150s in every patient room, Workstations on Wheels for every staff member, and Tap and Go for documentation access.

EMR System: Cerner

Required Skills:

BLS Certification

Experience in Medical Telemetry

Leadership Experience

Charge Nurse Experience

BSN

The unit primarily prepares patients for Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, and Operating Room procedures.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, hardworking, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Scrubs must be navy blue, white tops paired with navy blue bottoms, or all white.

Staff must sign up for six weekend shifts per six-week schedule, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for night shift rotations.

A minimum of two years of relevant experience is required.
