Nurse Practitioner - Behavioral Health

TeamHealth is hiring a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) for an acute inpatient setting in Knoxville, Tennessee. Role Overview Full-time, Monday‑Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. Provide psychiatric patient care to adults and adolescents in an inpatient setting. Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and mental status examinations. Diagnose and treat psychiatric, behavioral, and neurocognitive disorders. Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications. Evaluate behavioral and safety concerns. Provide interventions and behavioral management. Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across care settings. Maintain an average caseload of 14–16 patients per day. Qualifications Active, unrestricted Tennessee license as a PMHNP. Active DEA registration or willingness to obtain. Minimum of 1‑year experience as a PMHNP clinician in an inpatient setting.
