Emergency Veterinarian

Thrive San Antonio is looking for a full‑time Emergency Veterinarian with 3‑5 years’ experience, to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community. You’ll provide emergency care for sick and injured patients while also managing hospitalized cases. You’ll assess and diagnose patients, develop and oversee treatment plans, and partner closely with technicians to ensure high‑quality execution of care. Your work will include performing surgeries, delivering critical care, and maintaining an exceptional standard of service for every patient who enters our emergency department. About Thrive San Antonio Thrive San Antonio is a 24‑hour emergency and specialty hospital with a 30‑year history in the community. We are the second ER facility to obtain Fear‑free certification in the country. The hospital is equipped with complete blood work capabilities, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, CT, MRI, hemoperfusion, ventilator, and linear accelerator. We currently have specialty services including critical care, internal medicine, neurology, surgery and radiation oncology with diagnostic imaging starting in Fall of 2026. We have an established staff with low turnover in our DVM population. Our teams enjoy mentorship with new graduates and have provided an emergency veterinary internship for over 10 years. We are open 24/7 serving the Greater San Antonio and surrounding communities.
