General Maintenance

Job Title: General Maintenance Responsibilities Follow resorts preventive maintenance procedures and guidelines for guestrooms, equipment, public space, grounds, and buildings and swimming pool areas. This position will be focused on preventative maintenance. Applicants must have an eye for detail, be able to paint and wallpaper. Respond to and handle guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards. Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended. Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day. Maintain positive guest relations at all times. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas. Receive daily work assignments from Director of Resort Facilities and review priorities and special projects. Organize materials, tools and equipment to perform daily assignments. Maintain timelines and work schedule in accordance with the preventive maintenance program. Perform general maintenance to guestrooms and public areas. Assist electrician, carpenter, plumber and painter in all phases of repair work. Assist other engineering personnel as instructed by supervisor in regards to routine and preventive maintenance. Handle chemicals for designated uses/surfaces. Ensure security of any assigned keys. Assist with any special projects assigned. Recommend safety ideas; participates in fire prevention and other life safety programs. Perform service to the swimming pool daily, check and record chemical levels, maintain water levels and check pool filters. Perform service to all waterfalls keeping free of algae, checking pumps and replace as necessary.
