Job Summary

We are seeking a Safety-Focused Respiratory Shop / Warehouse Technician to support operations at an industrial site. This position will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, tracking, and distribution of respiratory protection equipment, as well as warehouse, inventory, and material-handling activities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in an industrial warehouse, materials, safety equipment, respiratory protection, or similar environment and be comfortable working both hands-on in the field and with computer-based inventory and tracking systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Respiratory Shop

\n
• Inspect, clean, maintain, and test fresh-air respiratory protection equipment.
\n
• Perform bump testing and functional checks of LEL gas detection meters .
\n
• Inspect and maintain respiratory cylinders/bottles and related equipment.
\n
• Maintain accurate inspection and regulatory records.
\n
• Manage respiratory equipment rentals, issuance, returns, and inventory.
\n
• Use Microsoft Access and other computer systems to track equipment.
\n
• Identify damaged, defective, or expired equipment and take appropriate corrective action.
\n
• Help ensure respiratory equipment is available and ready for emergency response activities.
\n

Warehouse / Materials

\n
• Receive, inspect, store, issue, transfer, and deliver materials throughout the site.
\n
• Perform warehouse transactions and maintain accurate inventory records.
\n
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
\n
• Load and unload trucks and transport materials to designated locations.
\n
• Perform inventory cycle counts and assist with resolving discrepancies.
\n
• Stage materials for Maintenance, Operations, and Project activities.
\n
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
\n
• Follow established warehouse, inventory, and material-handling procedures.
\n

Required / Preferred Qualifications

\n
• Previous experience in an industrial warehouse, materials, logistics, safety equipment, or similar environment .
\n
• Experience with respiratory protection equipment is highly preferred.
\n
• Experience with fresh-air respiratory equipment inspection, cleaning, maintenance, or testing is a plus.
\n
• Experience with LEL gas detection equipment or bump testing is highly preferred.
\n
• Forklift experience or the ability to obtain forklift certification.
\n
• Experience with receiving, issuing, storing, and transporting materials.
\n
• Familiarity with inventory management systems.
\n
• Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
\n
• Ability to learn and use SAP, Microsoft Access, mobility applications, and other site systems .
\n
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
\n
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
\n
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced industrial environment.
\n
• Strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence.

Physical / Work Requirements

\n
• Ability to routinely lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
\n
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
\n
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb, reach, and work in various physical positions.
\n
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
\n
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
\n
• Ability to work safely in an active industrial environment where noise, dust, chemicals, fumes, and odors may be present.
\n
• Must be able to wear required PPE and follow all site safety procedures.
\n

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a dependable, safety-conscious, hands-on professional with industrial warehouse/material-handling experience and, preferably, exposure to respiratory protection equipment and gas detection systems.

This individual should be comfortable balancing respiratory equipment management, warehouse operations, inventory control, computer transactions, and material handling while maintaining a strong focus on safety and accuracy.
