Architect - Mid Level

Your Role As a Gensler Architect, you will collaborate with our design team to develop innovative design solutions and coordinate the design through the construction documentation phase of a project. Responsibilities Manage communication between the project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultants. Resolve complex technical and design issues with the team to produce innovative, constructible solutions. Direct the production of drawings, specifications, and construction administration tasks. Oversee and deliver documents with design intent and top‑notch technical quality. Provide guidance and mentorship to the team while resolving complex technical/design issues and detailing. Maintain and oversee the project manual and specifications. Conduct on‑site observations and document site reviews. Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project. Participate and contribute to the financial performance of the project. Review and contribute to proposals and contracts with the Project Manager. Ensure projects conform to the contract and actively lead teams for successful delivery. Manage client expectations, team communication, and oversight of consultant coordination. Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs. Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships. Qualifications Registered Architect required. Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited program. 8+ years of architecture experience. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360, Enscape, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Full knowledge of architectural principles and practices. Working knowledge of building codes, standards, and building structures. Experience with the entire project lifecycle and design process through post‑occupancy. Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects at various stages of development. Quick learner with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced work environment. Excellent written and verbal communication and management skills, including leadership, organization, and client‑relationship management. Strategic thinker with an integrated approach to design, management, and technical project resolution. Location This position is in‑person and located in the San Antonio, Texas area.
