Details Work in an 8-bed high acuity Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) Care for adult cardiac patients transferred from the Cath Lab, ED, and Acute Care areas Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Work 36 or 48 hours per week Every other weekend required Holiday coverage required as scheduled Float to other units and hospitals as needed EMR: Meditech Requirements Active RN license for the State of Alabama or compact license required (no temporary licenses accepted) Nursys verification required Associate degree in nursing required Current certifications required: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, and AHA NIH (or Red Cross equivalents) PALS preferred if working in a pediatric unit Minimum 2 years of RN experience required (18 months considered if working under the highest level of professional license) 1 year of recent experience in cardiac specialty required Additional Information Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to achieve optimal patient outcomes in a high acuity cardiac setting Deliver specialized, complex monitoring and treatment for adult cardiac patients Maintain a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for patients Dress code: solid navy scrubs Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate with no mileage restrictions On-site cardiac competency exam required in addition to an online pre-test prior to starting American Traveler Job ID P-733926.
